What I thought would take two weeks ended up taking two months but the painting studio is finally ready for work.

The piece on the easel was where I left off so many months ago when the packing for this move began, The skeleton remains the same but I’ll be willing to bet that the final result will change as my environment has changed and that affects the work. Getting started again will take some time. I’ll begin with sketches and maquettes.

After going for so long without creating anything but this building, it’s like a runner. You don’t begin where you left off. You have to find the rhythm and get back in shape.

As usual I’ll spend a lot of time looking at that 3D piece before I attack it. In between times a lot of sketches will end up in the waste basket;  but it begins again… now
