As usual I laid in a color scheme just to get something to work on. Then I began to change it. I’m not very good at preconceiving the finished color at first shot but I’m able to make it happen once I get a base to work with and as long as I stay fluid in my approach. Put the paint on. Take some of it off and repeat until it comes into balance.

#11 with the first layers of paint .

My colors are always changing. Sometimes I white out most of it and start over again. I work on them until the elements come together. The trick is in knowing when to stop.

The small section on the bottom left is finished so you can see where this one is going. There is a lot more to do but #11 will have to stay on the easel until i get back from vacation.  See you in August.
